Martin M. Fakelman, Former New Jersey State Police Sergeant, Dies At 77
Services for Korean War veteran will be held on Friday.

Martin M. Fakelman, 77, of Forked River died Sunday June 7, 2015 at home.
He was born in Elizabeth, and lived in Toms River before moving to Forked River 25 years ago.
Mr. Fakelman retired in 1980 as a Staff Sergeant with the New Jersey State Police after 27 years of service. He also was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War. Mr. Fakelman was very active and enjoyed traveling and playing cards.
Surviving is his wife of fifteen years Nino; his children and their spouses Dennis and Karin Fakelman, Denise and Steve Swider, five grandchildren Dennis Fakelman, Jr., Jordin Fakelman, Kayla Fakelman, Brian Swider and Kevin Swider, a niece Kate Losebidze, his sister-in-law Nanna Gagoshidze and “Cousin Bob.”
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.at the Layton’s Home For Funerals in Forked River. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Judes Children Hospital or Lacey Township EMS would be appreciated. For additional information visit www.laytons.net.
