Nearly 50K Raised For Family Of Ocean County Woman Killed In Crash
The three-car crash killed the 42-year-old Waretown woman and hospitalized her three children, authorities said.
WARETOWN, NJ — A GoFundMe to support the family of the Waretown woman killed in a three-car collision in Freehold last week has raised nearly $50,000.
As of Monday morning, "Support for Lieutenant Craig James and his Family" has raised $46,786. The GoFundMe was launched by the New Jersey Superior Officers Law Enforcement Association.
On July 14, an accident killed a 42-year-old mom from Waretown and left her three children, ages 13, 9 and 3 hospitalized, Acting Monmouth County Prosecutor Lori Linskey said.

The woman, unidentified by authorities but named by the GoFundMe as Denise James, was pronounced dead on the scene, while her 3-year-old was transported via medical helicopter to Jersey Shore Regional Medical Center in critical condition, Linskey said. The other two children were taken to Jersey Shore via ambulance with injuries not believed to be life-threatening, Linskey said.

According to the GoFundMe, the 3-year-old, Lily, will be an organ donor.
"Our thoughts and prayers are with Craig, his two boys and his Family," the GoFundMe organizers wrote.
