New 7-Eleven Store & Shell Gas Station Opening in Lacey Township
After site plan changes, 7-Eleven and Shell Gas Station to open this Thursday, April 26

After several months of planning, site changes and approvals, a new 7-Eleven convenience store is opening this week on Lacey Road, along with a Shell gas station.
The history of the site’s application before the local Zoning Board of Adjustment in past months gave way to from the original's building plans: the removal of a drive-through window (spurred from a change in 7-Eleven corporate policy), the removal of a utility pole and the relocation of another, and an issue with previously paved-over monitoring wells, though counsel for the owners of the new facility said that problem has been resolved.
A memorialized resolution provided at the April 2 meeting of the Zoning Board of Adjustment then gave the go-ahead for the convenience store and gas station to open officially on Thursday, April 26.

Kohl also wanted to make note that the store will be holding a “Grand Opening” celebration on Saturday, June 9.
“We haven’t determined the times for that yet, but we’ll have a big celebration,” she said.
