New Date For Next Lacey Board Of Education Meeting
The upcoming Lacey Board of Education meeting will happen sooner than originally scheduled.

LACEY, NJ — The Lacey Board of Education meeting originally scheduled for May 16 will now be held May 14, according to a public notice.
The time and location of the meeting are unchanged. It will still be held in the Lacey Township High School Lecture Hall starting at 6 p.m. Reports and presentations begin at about 7 p.m.

Superintendent Vanessa Pereira attended the State Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee hearing on Thursday to plead the district's case. A proposed State Assembly bill would allow for a portion of state aid loss to be recouped in the form of stabilization aid and would allow for the two percent tax levy cap to be exceeded to increase the budget. It could go up to 9.9 percent, according to the bill's text.
