Overnight Road Work Set On Deerhead Lake Drive In Lacey

LACEY , NJ — Overnight road work is scheduled this week on Deerhead Lake Drive between Lacey Road and Lakeside Drive N., with traffic restrictions expected on Wednesday and Thursday nights, according to a traffic notice from Lacey Township.

Work hours are 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.

Township officials said the work is part of the next phase of the Reconstruction and Resurfacing of Deerhead Lake Drive project and is being done in partnership with the County of Ocean. According to the notice, the work is scheduled during overnight hours "to lessen the impact to traffic matters."

Road closures are expected to be in place by 7 p.m. on both Wednesday and Thursday nights and will remain in place during the construction operating period, according to the notice. Deerhead Lake Drive will have traffic limited to local traffic only during those hours.

The township asked residents and motorists to consider alternate routes and anticipate delays during the operating period. The notice also tells drivers to slow down and obey all posted traffic control devices, follow directions from police officers and traffic flaggers, and use extreme caution when traveling through the work zone.

"We appreciate your patience and cooperation as these improvements are completed safely and efficiently to improve our community’s infrastructure," officials said.
