Overnight Road Work Set For Western Boulevard In Lacey
The township said Western Boulevard from Haines Street to Cedar Creek Bridge will be limited to local traffic at night.
LACEY, NJ — Motorists in Lacey will see overnight road work on Western Boulevard as the reconstruction and resurfacing project moves into its next phase.
The work will run from Aug. 24 through Aug. 26 along Western Boulevard from Haines Street to Cedar Creek Bridge. The posted work hours are 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. According to the traffic notice, the project is being done in partnership with Ocean County.
"This work is scheduled to be completed during the overnight hours to lessen the impact to traffic matters," the notice said.

Road closures are expected to be in place by 7 p.m. on both Monday and Tuesday nights, according to the notice. During the construction period, Western Boulevard will be limited to local traffic only. The traffic restrictions are expected to remain in place during the operational period of construction.
The notice asks residents and other drivers to plan ahead and use caution in the area. It advises motorists to consider alternate routes and anticipate delays during the overnight work window. Drivers are also asked to slow down, obey posted traffic control devices, follow directions from police officers and traffic flaggers, and use extreme caution when traveling through the work zone.

The township closed the notice with a message to residents and motorists, saying, "We appreciate your patience and cooperation as these improvements are completed safely and efficiently to improve our community’s infrastructure."
