Oyster Creek Sirens Will Sound Tuesday Morning During Semi-Annual Test
Test will take place at 10 a.m. on Tuesday.

Exelon Generation will conduct its semi-annual, full volume test of the emergency warning sirens for the Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station on Tuesday, Exelon spokesperson Suzanne D’Ambrosio said.
The purpose of the sirens is to notify residents to into an Emergency Alert System radio or television station in case of an emergency at the plant on Route 9 in Lacey Township. The sirens will sound at 10 a.m.
Exelon tests the sirens twice a year - once in June, once in December.

Exelon Generation replaced all 42 emergency warning sirens in the 10-mile radius around Oyster Creek with new, state-of-the-art units featuring battery back-up in 2013. The original sirens were removed last year, she said.
