Popular Lacey Bar Gets New Name, Makeover

LACEY, NJ — A popular Lacey bar and restaurant has a completely new identity with a fresh menu, renovated interior and a new name.

Pine Tar Bar & Grill is now Primetime Tavern, the eatery announced.

The change comes as the business was taken over by new owners in 2025.

"A new name, a fresh new look and a brand-new menu—but the same familiar faces and local love you already know," the newly-made over bar shared on social media.

A relaunch celebration was held this past weekend.

"Bringing our community together is what it’s all about. We may be a neighborhood tavern, but yesterday, we felt like one big family," Primetime Tavern said.

The new menu boasts a variety of standard bar fare options like sandwiches, burgers and bar pies, along with a plethora of appetizers. It also offers pasta and seafood dishes.
