Power Slowly Returns To Lacey; Most Residents Left Without Cable
JCP&L hopes to have 90 percent of the power restored to the area by the end of the week

Power and cable are slowly but surely returning to Lacey Township.
The township received an update from JCP&L and power was restored to 1,463 Lanoka Harbor residents and 3,000 Forked River and Bamber Lake residents, Administrator Veronica Laureigh said.
“JCP&L crews are working currently on save priorities. They are doing damage assessment throughout the area. They will first be making repairs to unsafe conditions. Then repairs to restore power,” she said.

The company hopes to have 90 percent of the power restored to the area by the end of the week, Laureigh said.
As for cable, 97.2 percent of the devices are out in Lacey due to the storm and wind conditions, she said.
“Those that have power and no cable, it is still storm related and they are assessing the areas as to down cable lines,” she said.
Most cable issues relate to the power outages, Comcast spokesman Jeff Alexander said.
“We're working on repairing service as quickly and safely as possible. Due the severity of the storm, we're seeing more extensive damage in regards to flooding, down poles, and wire issues,” Alexander said. “That will all take longer to repair, but we have thousands of employees working across the region until service is completely restored.”
Comcast could not provide a timeline for restoring the system.
“They are asking residents to be patient,” Laureigh said.
