Prescription Drug Take Back Events By Lacey Oct. 26

Here's where you can safely dispose of prescription drugs on National Prescription Drug Take Back Day.

Update: Lacey police will also participate.

LACEY, NJ — National Prescription Drug Take Back Day takes place Saturday, Oct. 26. Several collection sites around the nation will allow you to safely dispose of prescription drugs between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

  • 800 West Lacey Rd., Forked River
  • Beachwood Police Department (1600 Pinewald Rd.)
  • Seaside Park Police Department (Municipal Plaza, Seaside Park)

According to the 2018 National Survey on Drug Use and Health, 9.9 million Americans misused controlled prescription drugs. The study shows a majority of abused prescription drugs were obtained from family and friends, often from the home medicine cabinet.

The Drug Enforcement Administration's Take Back Day provides an opportunity for Americans to prevent drug addiction or overdose deaths.
