Revolutionary War Ghost Sites Talk Set At Lacey Library

FORKED RIVER, NJ — South Jersey Ghost Research will present a program at 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 14, at the Lacey Branch of the Ocean County Library as part of events marking America’s 250th anniversary.

The talk will focus on locations the group has visited that are connected to the American Revolution. According to the program description, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Delaware were “states in the crossroads of the American Revolution,” and South Jersey Ghost Research has investigated dozens of sites across that region.

The presentation will examine reported paranormal activity tied to those places, including apparitions and voices, along with accounts involving soldiers, militia, nurses, merchants, generals and other people from another century. The program description says attendees will be able to learn about those reported phenomena and how they fit into history from members of the group.

South Jersey Ghost Research, identified as SJGR, has conducted investigations since 1955. According to the group’s mission statement, its goal is to “aid any individuals having problems dealing with or understanding a situation in their home or business… researching the situation and educating them as to the nature of their haunting as well as giving them the information and understanding to create a livable resolution for the person and the spirit.”

The free program is open to teens and adults, according to the library announcement. Registration is required.
