Robert J. D'Espies Sr. Of Lanoka Harbor Dies
Services slated for Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday.

Robert J. D’Espies, Sr., passed away peacefully after a short illness on April 18, 2015. Born in Elizabeth, he moved to Lanoka Harbor in 1963. His greatest passion was sailing the Barnegat Bay.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Gertrude; son Robert Jr. of South Carolina; daughter Veronica Gasmen of Lanoka Harbor; brothers Ronald of Lanoka Harbor and Kevin of Florida; sister Susan Gesualdo of Brick; step-mother Josephine D’Espies of Florida. Robert is also survived by five grandchildren; Caitlyn, Jaya, Robert, Anthony and Ryan.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21 and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. with a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, at the Lacey Memorial Home, 1022 Lacey Road in Forked River.
