School Board Candidates Night Set For Oct. 21 At Lacey Township High School

Debate will follow the Township Committee candidates night.

Lacey voters are invited to attend a candidates night on Oct. 21 for the available seats on the Lacey Township Board of Education.

The debate will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Lacey High School auditorium and will follow a prescribed format, according to a letter recently sent to candidates by Business Administrator/Board Secretary James G. Savage Jr..

Student panelists will ask each candidate one question. Candidates will have three minutes to respond. Candidates will not be able to review any questions before the event, Savage said in the letter.

“The spirit of this stipulation is to provide candid question and answer conversation and debate, rather than scripted answers,” the letter states.

The school board candidates night will follow the 6:30 p.m. Township Committee candidates night.
