Scott Bennett Of Forked River Dies At 28

Visitation and funeral will be held on Wednesday.

Scott Bennett, 28 of Forked River, passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2016.

Born in Point Pleasant, he lived in Forked River most of his life.

Scott worked full time in Oakhurst at The Wood Stove & Fireplace Center, and part-time at Trama's Trattoria in Long Branch.

Scott was an adventurer by nature, and loved camping, fishing, and the outdoors. He was a music lover, and was often seen playing a guitar. Scott was known for his sense of humor, and enjoyed making family and friends laugh. His silly jokes and pranks will be missed by all. His trademark was having a smile with everything he did.

Predeceased by his grandmother, June Seiler; Scott is survived by his mother, Debbie Bennett; his father, Ernie Bennett; his brothers, Craig, Eric and Ryan Bennett; and many other relatives and friends.

Viewing will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at the Lacey Memorial Home, 1022 Lacey Road in Forked River, NJ. Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be appreciated.
