Special Needs Kids Get A Magical Day With Lacey Elks Lodge

The annual event by the Lacey Elks Lodge offered entertainment and community support to special children.

LACEY, NJ — The Lacey Elks Lodge 2518 Special Children’s Committee (SCC) hosted its annual Magic Show and Pizza Lunch for special needs children on Feb. 21.

The event provided magic, laughter and joy to more than 190 guests from the community, according to a news release.

The afternoon featured Mr. Magico, who performed an interactive magic show for the audience. Children participated in the show, which included a moment when a live bunny appeared from a container, prompting excitement from the attendees.

Each child attending the event received a magician’s hat with a stuffed bunny and a magic wand. Guests also enjoyed a meal of pizza, ice cream and cupcakes during the gathering.

The Special Children’s Committee organized the event with the help of 24 committee members, eight Antlers and their advisor, Lana, ensuring a memorable experience for each child.

“This event is a highlight of our year,” said a lodge representative. “Seeing the smiles on the kids’ faces, especially when they experience a little magic, reminds us why we do what we do. Our goal is to support special children and families in our community while fostering joy and togetherness.”

The Lacey Elks Lodge 2518 said it is committed to making a positive impact in the community. The lodge supports children, veterans and local families through its various programs.
