Honoring The Boy Who Loved Chess
Sixth Annual Memorial Christopher J. Blozen Chess Tournament gets underway at the Lanoka Harbor Firehouse tomorrow
Christopher M. Blozen would be nearly 16 now. But the boy who was a chess prodigy died six years ago from a brain tumor.
His parents, Frank and Barbara, wanted to honor their son with an event he would have loved. So the annual Christopher M. Blozen county-wide chess tournament was born.
"This is a good way for people to use their minds and also to keep Christopher's memory alive," Christopher's father Frank Blozen has said.
