Via Napoli Opens With Gourmet Pizza And A Variety Of Food

The Italian pizzeria and restaurant is owned and managed by two young Lacey residents

Via Napoli may be an Italian pizzeria and restaurant but it is all Lacey.

The new restaurant, which opened Monday, July 11, is owned and operated by Ricky Digiovanna, 26, and managed by Brandi Slota, 22, both born and raised in Lacey Township.

“I wanted to open up a pizzeria and restaurant that would appeal to everyone,” Digiovanna said.

Digiovanna has been working in the pizzeria business since he was 17 years old and wanted to open a restaurant in the town he grew up in.

He has a bachelors degree in restaurant management from Stockton College and previously owned Linda’s Pizza located on South Main Street in Forked River.

The restaurant was purchased by Digiovanna in December 2010 and was renovated from top to bottom over the course of several months.

Via Napoli offers a wide variety of food from pizza and wraps to burgers, specialty sandwiches, and steaks. The restaurant has daily lunch and dinner specials and offers catering and free delivery for take-out orders.

A plain pizza costs $9.95 for a small and $11.95 for a large pie. Prices for gourmet pizzas vary. Via Napoli also offers appetizers; salads; calzones and strombolis; specialty pastas; chicken, seafood, and veal entrees; hot and cold subs; and cheesesteaks.

The restaurant is located at 510 Route 9 in Lanoka Harbor, next to A’s Garden Center.

Via Napoli is open Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.
