Murray Grove Retreat and Conference Center holds their monthly Coffee House Performance
The Murray Grove Retreat and Conference Center holds a Coffee House Grove Gathering on the second Wednesday of every month. On June 8 they hosted local favorite, Marafanyi, the West African Drum trio that included drumming, song, and dance performances. Audience members were able to participate in the percussionist expressions, using drums, pots, spoons, and their hands and feet.
Next month the Coffee House will be hosting Tom Parella, who performs Rock, Country, R&B, among others.
Murray Grove will also be hosting a Drum and Dance Fest the weekend of July 15-17th. The weekend gathering will give visitors an opportunity to learn different types of drumming, African dance, and bellydancing, while taking advantage of the grounds and nature trails on site.
