Waretown Wine Festival Postponed Due To NJ Coronavirus Spread
One of New Jersey's most popular wine festivals will take place in September.
WARETOWN, NJ — One of New Jersey's most popular wine festivals was postponed because of the state's novel-coronavirus outbreak. The Waretown Wine Festival will take place from 12-5 p.m. Sept. 12 and 13.
The sixth-annual Waretown Spring Wine Festival was originally set for May 2 and 3. But the Center for Disease Control recently recommended canceling or postponing gatherings of crowds of 50 people for the next eight weeks.

"The safety, health and well-being of our event-goers and vendors are always our utmost priority," said event organizer Sylvia Allen. "We look forward to seeing everyone this fall, and we send our well wishes to all during this difficult time. We will get through this.”

Tickets already purchased through Groupon and Eventbrite will be honored. The event takes place at Ocean Township Recreation Park.
