LACEY, NJ — It's almost blueberry season, and there's no better way to enjoy New Jersey's state fruit by picking it yourself from a local farm.

Blueberry season typically starts around mid-June, so if you want to enjoy these delicious fruits, there are u-pick farms here in Lacey.

Lanoka Farms will open its "U Pick Blueberry Patch" for the 2023 season on June 16, according to their Facebook page.

Located at 611 US-9 in Lanoka Harbor (across from Walmart), it will open daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. for blueberry picking.

Admission is $2 per person above the age of 3-years-old. Blueberries cost $3 per pound.

Also, Argos Farm will return with its "Blueberry Festival" beginning on June 23.

At the festival, guests can pick their own blueberries, plus enjoy attractions, treats and live music.
