Woman Dies After Car Runs Off Roadway, Hits Trees In Lacey: Police

The front seat passenger was ejected from the car after it struck multiple trees, New Jersey State Police said.

LACEY, NJ — A woman died Tuesday night after the car she was in ran off the Garden State Parkway and crashed into multiple trees, New Jersey State Police told Patch.

The crash occurred at 8:22 p.m. Tuesday at milepost 75.7 in Lacey, Trooper Christopher Postorino said.

A Honda was heading south on the Parkway when the driver lost control of the vehicle, ran off the roadway and hit multiple trees, Postorino said.

The front seat passenger, 19-year-old Emma Forker of Haddon Township, was ejected from the vehicle and was fatally injured, Postorino said.

The driver of the Honda was hospitalized with moderate injuries, Postorino said.

The crash remains under investigation.
