Woman Who Worked In Lacey Doctor's Office Facing Theft, Drug Charges
Money from daily deposits discovered missing, Alicia Durett also charged with possession of heroin, four outstanding warrants.

Lacey police recently charged a Forked River woman with theft after money was discovered missing from her physician employer, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.
Lacey detectives arrested Alicia Durett, 34, Spruce Street, after the doctor‘s office reported that roughly $230 was missing from the practice‘s daily deposits on several occasions, the chief said.
Durett was arrested at work on four outstanding warrants. Police also discovered that Durett was in possession of drug paraphernalia. She was charged with theft, possession of heroin and possession of hypodermic syringes, Paprota said.

She was taken to the Ocean County Jail in default of $10,000 bail. The additional bail stemmed from the outstanding warrants that totaled $1,700. The warrants were from Hamilton, Middletown, and Toms River municipal courts for violations of drug paraphernalia and driving while suspended, the chief said.
