• A Toxin in Tuna (aldianews.com) — A Lakewood-based distributor, Buckhead Meat Company operating as Trinity Seafood, has recalled about 333 pounds of fresh tuna after state health officials found elevated scombrotoxin levels in two samples. The tuna, shipped from Lakewood to restaurants and buyers across several states, can cause rapid, allergy-like illness that cooking does not prevent, so handlers are urged to check product and lot codes and seek medical care if symptoms appear.
