• Nurses At Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus Reject Contract Deal, Raising Possibility Of Strike (thelakewoodscoop.com) — Nurses at Monmouth Medical Center Southern Campus in Lakewood have rejected a proposed contract, raising the possibility of a strike that could affect local patient care, though the hospital says services will continue. The offer included wage increases and enhanced benefits, but some nurses say it doesn't fairly recognize their work or time off needs. Talks with the New Jersey Nurses Union have not yet resumed, and no strike date has been set.
