Angry Man Shatters MVC Office Door Over Registration Denial, Police Say
The man "forcefully struck" the door as he walked out mad, Lakewood police said.

LAKEWOOD, NJ -- A Monmouth County man shattered a door at the Motor Vehicles Commission office after he was told he didn't have the right documents to register a vehicle, Lakewood police said.
Mingo Kersey Jr., 57, of Asbury Park, has been charged with criminal mischief in the incident that happened about 10:45 a.m. Jan. 9 at the Lakewood MVC office on Route 70, police said.
Kersey got upset after being denied vehicle registration because he did not have the correct documents, police said.

As he left the building, Kersey forcefully hit the front entrance door, shattering the glass, police said.
The damage was estimated at about $1,500.
