LAKEWOOD, NJ β€” Lakewood police are investigating an incident where an arrow was shot into the door of a resident's home.

The arrow was discovered about 10:30 p.m. Monday by the resident, Capt. Gregory Staffordsmith said.

The Lakewood Scoop reported the resident had been out for a few hours and found the arrow upon returning home.

Officer Villalba responded, and the investigation determined the arrow most likely had been fired from a crossbow, Staffordsmith said.

"Luckily, no one was injured," he said.
