Community Cleanup Welcomes Volunteers In Lakewood

LAKEWOOD, NJ — A local organization is hosting an environmental cleanup Sunday at Lake Carasaljo.

The cleanup event is hosted by ASEZ, the Church of God University student volunteer group, and is set for 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

This event will be in line with ASEZ’s Blue Carbon campaign. In short blue carbon is the carbon captured by coastal ecosystems. Marine ecosystems absorb greenhouse gases up to 50 times faster than terrestrial ecosystems.

Volunteers are welcome to join in at the lake.
