Families Invited To Back-To-School Giveaway, Fairy Garden Event In Lakewood

LAKEWOOD, NJ — Families are invited to a free event Sunday, Aug. 27, where free school supplies and family activities are being offered in Lakewood.

The Fairy Garden activities and Back-to-School giveaways are set for 4 p.m.-6 p.m. at the Common Grounds Community Garden in Lakewood.

The Fairy Garden is a mini fairy tale garden activity with Jersey Shore Girl Scouts, and there will be a scavenger hunt and refreshments. Although the event is free, donations are greatly appreciated.

The Common Grounds Community Garden is at the John Patrick Sports Complex; the entrance is off the large parking lot on Vine Street near Salem Street.

The Lakewood Police Department collaborates with a local garden initiative, providing assistance in the form of garden beds and irrigation systems for their project.
