LAKEWOOD, NJ — In case you missed it, it's Girl Scout cookie season, the annual opportunity to stock up on Thin Mints and Tagalongs.

If you're fortunate enough to know a Girl Scout, you may have already put in your order, but if all the Girl Scouts in your family and your neighborhood have grown up, you may be wondering where you can get your cookies.

Nearly all troops have gone away from door-to-door sales, opting instead for booth sales set up at various shopping centers and events. Girl Scouts of the USA has set up a website to help people locate booth sales nearby, which allows you to support your local troop even if you don't know them personally. All you have to do is enter your zip code in the search bar and it will bring up cookie booth sales nearby. Cookies sales proceeds go to the local troops and Girl Scout councils.

In addition, you can order or reorder cookies on Feb. 27 through the website and have them shipped directly to your home. There is a new cookie this year, the Raspberry Rally, which is available online for shipment only.

Girl Scouts of the USA says the purpose behind the cookie sales is to help local councils and troops "to power amazing experiences year-round for Girl Scouts" such as service projects and summer camp.
