Lakewood Burglary Arrest Leads Police To Stolen Tablets

LAKEWOOD, NJ — Police seized 23 Samsung tablets and cash when they arrested a Lakewood man Thursday in connection with a pair of burglaries, Lakewood police said Friday.

Mashon D. Wilson, 29, was arrested at a home on Lynn Court, Capt. Gregory Staffordsmith said. He is being held at the Ocean County Jail.

Detectives Michael Cavallo and Michael Dennis Jr., along with patrol officers, went to the home with an arrest warrant in connection with a burglary that happened Wednesday at Bnos Yisroel School at 243 Prospect St.

Wilson is accused of taking $400 in cash during that burglary, Staffordsmith said.

During the arrest, police saw what they believed were proceeds from a December burglary at a River Avenue office and requested a search warrant. They recovered 23 tablets as a result, he said.

Wilson has been charged with several counts of theft and burglary and is awaiting a detention hearing.
