Lakewood Man Pleads Guilty To Drug Distribution Charges: Prosecutor

A Lakewood man pleaded guilty to charges he was attempting to sell cocaine and heroin on two separate instances, officials said.

LAKEWOOD, NJ β€” A Lakewood man pleaded guilty to charges he was attempting to sell cocaine and heroin on two separate instances, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billheimer said in a news release.

Denaire Bowen, 22, pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and possession of heroin with intent to distribute, Billheimer said.

Police stopped Bowen in December 2020 and found more than half an ounce of cocaine packaged for resale, Billheimer said. Bowen was arrested and released by the court, Billheimer said.

On Feb. 2, 2022, members of the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office Narcotics Strike Force stopped Bowen in Lakewood and found 30 wax folds of heroin, Billheimer said. Bowen was arrested and transported to the Ocean County Jail, Billheimer said.
