Lakewood Police Complete Police Unity Tour Ride, Honor 4 Fallen Officers

Department riders join thousands cycling to National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial during National Police Week.

LAKEWOOD, NJ — Members of the Lakewood Police Department completed a four-day Police Unity Tour ride earlier this week, joining thousands of cyclists from across the country making their way to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington, D.C.

The annual ride honors law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty. Lakewood riders and support personnel dedicated their journey to the department's own fallen heroes.

"This tour is a powerful reminder of our unity as a police department and our commitment to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice," Chief Gregory Meyer said.
