LAKEWOOD, NJ — Three homes were burglarized Saturday and in all three cases the burglars went in through unlocked first-floor windows, Lakewood police said Tuesday.

Lakewood police are continuing to investigate the incidents, which happened on 14th Street, Arbutus Drive and Case Road, Capt. Gregory Staffordsmith said.

At approximately 3:45 a.m. on Saturday officers were dispatched to a home in the 1200 block of 14th Street for a burglary in progress. The officers went into the home when they arrived, but due to a delay in reporting the incident, the suspects were gone, Staffordsmith said.
