Man Dies After Being Trapped In Industrial Machinery At Ocean County Business

Lakewood police said an investigation is ongoing into the incident at the Cambridge Pavers property.

LAKEWOOD, NJ β€” A man has died after he was trapped in industrial machinery in Lakewood on Friday, Lakewood police said.

Emergency services personnel were called 10 Havenwood Court about 7:30 a.m., where the man was reported as unresponsive, Capt. Gregory Staffordsmith said.

The responders were able to free him from the machinery and began lifesaving measures, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene, Staffordsmith said.

No information on the man's identity was released. The type of machinery involved was not specified.

The property belongs to Cambridge Pavers, according to land records in the Ocean County Clerk's office.
