Man Tried To Sell 3 Guns To People At Car Wash: Lakewood PD

Video shows the man being arrested by Lakewood police; they say he approached people and showed off handguns he was trying to sell.

LAKEWOOD, NJ — A Lakewood man who was carrying three handguns and a knife was arrested Tuesday afternoon after police say he was trying to sell the weapons to people at a self-serve car wash.

Arturo Cuahutle-Flores, 47, of Lakewood, was arrested on Park Avenue late in the afternoon, Lakewood Police Chief Gregory Meyer said.

Police were called about 4 p.m. by someone reporting Cuahutle-Flores was approaching people at the self-service Car Wash at the corner of Park and Ocean avenues. The caller alleged he was approaching people and showing off handguns that were tucked into his waistband and offered to sell them, Meyer said.
