Meet Police, Enjoy Barbecue At National Night Out In Lakewood
The annual event is an opportunity for police and the community to come together and build relationships, organizers say.

LAKEWOOD, NJ — The Lakewood Police Department will be holding its annual Night Out on Tuesday at Pine Park.
The event is part of the National Night Out program across the United States that aims to build community relationships between residents and local law enforcement.
The Lakewood event is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and will include a barbecue and pizza for attendees, the police department said.

There will be events and fun for families at the event at Pine Park, 500 Country Club Blvd.
National Night Out, which started in 1984, is the biggest community event that gives police the opportunity to interact with the communities they serve.
