Naked Man Steals Beer, Drinks It Outside Liquor Store In Lakewood, Police Say

The 69-year-old man began yelling "alarming statements" at police when they arrived, police said.

LAKEWOOD, NJ — A man has been charged with lewdness and shoplifting after he walked into liquor store naked and stole a beer, Lakewood police said.

The 69-year-old man's name and hometown were not released.

Lakewood police said the man was found naked outside Pine Cone Liquor Store on Second Street on Tuesday, drinking a 25-ounce Budweiser.

He was accused of walking into the liquor store naked, grabbing the beer and walking out without paying for it, police said.

As officers approached him, the man began yelling what police said were "alarming statements," police said.

He was arrested without incident and taken to police headquarters, the police department said.
