Tips Sought After Stabbed Man Walks Into Lakewood PD
Lakewood police are seeking tips after the man could not provide a description of the person who stabbed him or a possible motive.

LAKEWOOD, NJ — Authorities are seeking tips after a man walked into Lakewood police headquarters Sunday night with a large stab wound to the chest, police said Monday.
Mario Garcia-Techalero, 29, of Lakewood, arrived at police headquarters about 7:30 p.m., Lakewood Capt. Gregory Staffordsmith said.
He had a large stab wound to his lower left chest and was treated by police officers before Lakewood EMS took him to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune for additional treatment, he said.

While officers were administering first aid, Techalero told them he was not sure where the incident happened, but said it was near Hurley Avenue. He could not provide a description of the suspect or a potential motive for the attack, Staffordsmith said.
