14-Year-Old Boy Arrested For Murder In Mercer County: Prosecutor

A 14-year-old boy has been arrested and charged with the December 2017 murder of 40-year-old Brian Ficzko, of Flemington, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri announced on Tuesday. The teenager, who wasn’t identified by the prosecutor’s office due to his age, is charged with murder, felony murder, robbery and weapons offenses.

He was arrested on Friday following an investigation by Mercer County Homicide Task Force officers. He is being held at the Middlesex County Juvenile Detention Center.

Ficzko was driving when he hit a pole and another car on the 300 block of Mulberry Street in Trenton at about 6 p.m. on Dec. 21 2017. He was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center, where it was learned he had been shot in the chest, police said. He was pronounced dead a short time later.
