ATTLEBORO, Mass. — Two people were killed and 11 people were ejected and seriously injured in a rollover crash this weekend involving a van reportedly from New Jersey, police said.

The van, which crashed on Interstate 95 in Attleboro, Mass., was operating Saturday as part of a tour group which caters to the Polish American community, police said. It is believed that this tour may have picked up passengers in Philadelphia, Trenton, Linden, and Wallington and New York City, with a destination of various sites in Massachusetts.

Police said 11 people were ejected from a van involved in the rollover, and two of them were killed. The extent of the injuries to the other passengers who were ejected is not yet known, though all of them were taken to Rhode Island Hospital.

About 11:05 a.m., a 2004 Ford Econoline van was traveling on Route 95 northbound in the area of Exit 3 when a 2018 Toyota RAV 4, which was also traveling northbound in an adjacent lane, hit it.

Both vehicles then crossed over the median. The van rolled over and crashed in the southbound travel lanes and the Toyota, which did not roll over, came to rest in the breakdown lane on the southbound side. All 11 people in the van were ejected during the rollover.

Massachusetts State Police and the Bristol County DA are investigating the crash. No charges have been filed at this time, according to police.
