Check your pockets. One shopper at a Mercer County store is $279,000 richer. One ticket sold at Rea Grocery, 319 West Hanover Street in Trenton for the Jersey Cash 5 jackpot on Saturday, March 24, matched all five numbers drawn, New Jersey Lottery officials announced.
The winning numbers were: 04, 09, 16, 37 and 38 and the XTRA number was: 03. The winning jackpot was $279,513.
“We are thrilled that the winning jackpot ticket was sold at Rea Grocery,” Acting Executive Director John M. White said. “The retailer will receive a bonus check for $2,000 for selling the winning ticket. Overnight, they have become one more ‘lucky location’ for the very fortunate lottery winner.”
