46-Year-Old Man Shot & Killed In Mercer County: Prosecutor

The Mercer County Homicide Task Force and Trenton Police are investigating. No arrests have been made, authorities said.

MERCER COUNTY, NJ — Authorities in Mercer County are investigating the death of a 46-year-old Trenton man was shot and killed on the night of April 14.

Around 8:21 p.m., Friday, April 14, Trenton Police received a ShotSpotter activation for six rounds in the area of 328 Rutherford Avenue, according to the Mercer County Prosecutor's Office.

Trenton Police responded and found Daniel Garvin, 46, of Trenton in an area behind 332 and 330 Rutherford Avenue suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. He was taken to the hospital but was later pronounced deceased, authorities said.

The Mercer County Homicide Task Force and the Trenton Police Department are investigating a shooting. No arrests have been made.
