8 Candidates Vying For 3 Seats On Lawrence Board Of Education
Three Board members have terms expiring in January 2022. See who's running for a seat on the Board of Education this November.
LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ — Eight candidates are vying for three open seats on the Lawrence Township Public Schools Board of Education in the upcoming November elections.
There are nine seats on the Lawrence BOE.
Here are the candidates and the slogans they are running under:

- Jo Ann L. Groeger (Dedicated, Experience, Passionate)
- Kevin Van Hise (Dedicated, Experience, Passionate)
- Drue Stapleton
- Drew Greenspan
- Lauren B. Berger
- Robert Pluta (Achieving Academic Success)
- Falk Engel (Achieving Academic Success)
- Amanda Santos (TBA)
Hise is currently the Board President and is running along with incumbent Groeger on a common slate with the slogan"Dedicated, Experience, Passion." Newcomers Pluta and Engle are teaming up and running under the slogan "Achieving Academic Success."
The three Board members with terms expiring in January 2022 are Hise, Groeger, and Joyce Scott, according to the Lawrence BOE website. Scott is not running for reelection.

While BOE elections in New Jersey are bi-partisan, the lines are being blurred in Morris County this year, with the GOP backing a few candidates.
