Truck Strikes Guardrail On Cold Soil Road In Lawrence: Police

The road was closed for part of the day after the truck hit the guardrail and overturned, police said.

LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP, NJ — Cold Soil Road has reopened following an accident, in which a truck crashed into a guardrail, Lawrence Township police announced Tuesday afternoon. It had been closed between Blackwell and Van Kirk due to an accident.

The driver lost control while driving on Cold Soil Road Tuesday morning. The truck then slid about 15 feet before hitting a guardrail, police said. The guardrail was damaged and the truck flipped over.

The driver was the only person in the truck at the time of the accident, and he was uninjured. He was issued a summons for careless driving.

A witness told Lawrenceville Patch they saw a person outside the truck, and that person appeared to be shaken. They were walking around. The truck appeared to be in the woods in the photo they provided to the site.
