Officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation near 55 Hobart Ave. on March 9 at around 3:58 p.m. and found a 27-year-old Hispanic man with a gunshot wound to the abdomen in the parking lot of 1242 Hamilton Ave., police said. The man was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center and listed in stable condition.

Detectives determined children were present at the time of the shooting and that gunfire struck a nearby home. The Trenton Police Shooting Response Team and Criminal Intelligence Support Unit investigated the scene and identified Lynch as the suspect, leading to warrants for her arrest.

Lynch faces charges of criminal attempt homicide, two counts of aggravated assault, aggravated assault by pointing a firearm, possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of a weapon, endangering the welfare of a child and criminal mischief. She was also wanted on active warrants, police said.

Lynch is being held at the Mercer County Correctional Center pending court proceedings.
