Mercer County Executive Dan Benson said TTN offers "the easiest air-travel experience in our region" and called the expansion, including the return of a nonstop destination outside Florida, part of a growing relationship with the airline.

Breeze Airways founder and CEO David Neeleman said the airline is "excited to be expanding our footprint in the state of New Jersey" with the Trenton addition, adding that guests "will love the convenience, affordability and high-value" of the four new destinations.

Breeze was named to the TIME100 Most Influential Companies list for 2026. The airline was also recognized in 2025 as one of Fast Company's World's Most Innovative Companies and as Best Major Airline in North America by the Airline Passenger Experience Association. Travel + Leisure has ranked it among the top four best domestic airlines every year since it began flying.

The airline operates more than 300 year-round and seasonal routes to 91 cities across the United States, Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean, flying a fleet of Airbus A220-300 aircraft with amenities including free family seating, onboard WiFi, preferred seating options and no change or cancellation fees.
