Person Pulled From Mercer Co. Apartment Fire Dies At Scene

MERCER COUNTY, NJ — One person died after a fire broke out at an apartment complex in Hamilton on Thursday morning, officials said.

The fire was reported around 6:45 a.m. Thursday at the Winding Brook Apartments on Bradford Avenue, township spokesperson Bianca Jerez told Patch.

"An individual was pulled from the fire and was pronounced dead at the scene," Jerez said. The victim's identity has not been released.

The investigation remains ongoing, and the cause of the fire has not been determined.
