
The Rescue Mission of Trenton is proud to announce a new location for the public to donate their gently used and new clothing in Robbinsville Township.
The new clothing donation bin is located at the Robbinsville Township Fire Department at 1149 U.S. Route 130 in Robbinsville, N.J.
The Rescue Mission worked closely with the Robbinsville Township Administration and the Fire Department to place the box, illustrating the township’s commitment to helping those in need in the region.

“I am touched by Robbinsville Township and the Fire Department’s recognition of the importance of community-wide involvement in recycling. Through the donations of community members, the Rescue Mission is able to directly assist the economically needy right here in Mercer County,” stated Mary Gay Abbott-Young, CEO, Rescue Mission of Trenton. “We are proud to partner with the Robbinsville Township Fire Department, an organization which demonstrates daily a commitment to saving lives.”

All clothing donations should be bagged and washed. The Rescue Mission also accepts wearable shoes and accessories. Of particular need is men’s clothing, especially professional wear. Winter gear is always in demand, especially winter coats, hats, gloves, and scarves. Out of respect for the landowners, the Rescue Mission asks that you please place donated items inside the metal donation box.
The Robbinsville Township Fire Department provides fire and EMS services to the 13,642 residents of Robbinsville Township and routinely assists numerous other local communities.
The Robbinsville Township Fire Department consists of volunteer Fire Chief Chuck Petty, career Deputy Chief Daniel Schaffener, 17 career firefighters/officers, and administrative staff. The department utilizes one fire station located at 1149 Route 130 in Robbinsville.
The Robbinsville Township Fire Department is staffed around the clock with career firefighters and is supplemented by volunteer members of the department.
The Rescue Mission of Trenton is the agency in the city of Trenton that serves the truly needy men and women who have no place to turn for shelter, food, and clothing. The Mission provides a safe, clean, warm refuge for the homeless, the hungry, the transient, and the addicted.
All clothing donations go directly to the Rescue Mission, either to be sold in the Mission Store at 100 Carroll Street, or given away through the Rescue Mission’s courtesy shop to needy members of the community. In 2012, the Rescue Mission served over 1,400 individuals in the Emergency Shelter and provided 54,575 bed nights, and served 121,493 meals.
