Book Sale Returns To Lawrence Library This September

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ - The Friends of the Lawrence Library will hold its September Book Sale at the Lawrence Headquarters Branch of the Mercer County Library System, offering thousands of used books for readers of all ages.

The sale opens to the general public on Friday, Sept. 18, at 10 a.m. and runs through Monday, Sept. 21, at 1 p.m., at the branch located at 2751 Brunswick Pike in Lawrenceville. Payment is accepted by cash, check or Zelle only.

A special Early Admission event will be held Thursday, Sept. 17, from 1 to 4 p.m. Entry is free for current Friends of the Lawrence Library members, $5 for the general public, and $20 for patrons who wish to use scanning devices. Thursday is the only time scanners will be permitted.

Beginning Friday, Sept. 18, at 10 a.m., entry to the sale is free and open to the public, and no scanning devices will be allowed. Sale hours are Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Sunday from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m., and Monday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. On Sunday and Monday, books will be sold for $5 a bag; shoppers must bring their own bag.

"The book sale is a great opportunity to find the right book at a great price, all while supporting the important work of the Lawrence branch of the Mercer County Library System," Mercer County Executive Dan Benson said. He thanked the volunteers at Friends of the Lawrence Library for their work organizing the annual event.

Book donations for the sale are being accepted at the Lawrence Headquarters Branch. Proceeds fund library programs and services for patrons of all ages.
