April is Parkinson’s Awareness Month, and Lawrence Rehabilitation Hospital will host its inaugural Parkinson’s Support Group on Tuesday, April 29, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. The group will meet monthly and is open to those living with Parkinson’s, their caregivers and members of the local community.
Led by Kristin Slagle and Donna Mininni, two of the Lawrence team’s dedicated speech language pathologists, it will feature the information, resources and connections needed to stay motivated and empowered. The group is part of the rehab hospital’s newly launched Let’s Talk at Lawrence speech therapy program for those with Parkinson’s and their caregivers.
